What we collect on this site

This website uses two analytics tools. Plausible is always on, cookieless, and collects no personal data — we treat this as privacy-friendly processing that does not require consent. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is only loaded after your explicit consent via the cookie banner.

What we do not collect

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, fingerprinting scripts, or session replay tools. We do not build profiles of visitors and never link data to a name, email, or account. GA4 uses a pseudonymous client-ID in a cookie to recognize sessions after consent; that ID is not tied to any personal identifier.

Cookies and analytics

Always active: Plausible Analytics. Plausible places no cookies, collects no personal data, and builds no profiles. Data stays on EU servers. We use Plausible in a privacy-friendly, cookieless way that does not require consent.

With consent: Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Loaded only after clicking “Accept” in the cookie banner. Places cookies (_ga, _ga_*, 2 years) and shares aggregated data with Google (processor in the US, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

What GA4 does collect: page views, sessions, traffic sources, country-level geography, device type, pseudonymous client-ID, and anonymized IP.

What GA4 does not do: ad targeting (Consent Mode v2 signals ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalizationare permanently “denied”), remarketing, data sale, linking to email or account.

Retention: 14 months (GA4 property minimum). Individual event records are deleted automatically after that.

Withdrawing consent: click Cookie preferences at the foot of any page. The banner returns; from the next page load onward, GA4 will not load. GA4 data already transmitted finishes out its retention window at Google. Because of a browser limitation, an already-running GA4 instance in the current tab stays alive until you reload.

We don't place ad trackers, fingerprinting scripts, or session replay. There are no marketing cookies in the banner because we don't use any.

Your rights under the GDPR

Because we do not hold personal data about website visitors, most GDPR subject-access mechanisms are trivially satisfied: we have nothing to return. If you contact us by email, we keep that correspondence for as long as necessary to reply and fulfill the request, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Our products

The privacy policy on this website covers the website only. Each product we ship has its own privacy behaviour, documented on its own site or inside the app. As a general rule, our products do not use accounts, do not track behaviour, and keep user data on the device wherever possible.
