A studio, not a factory.
Simple Smart Company is a small independent studio in Utrecht, the Netherlands. We build AI-native software for teams that want to do more with the same people and budget, without making their systems heavier, messier, or harder to trust.
Victor van der Lely founded the studio in 2025 around a simple belief: good AI software should create room. Room to build faster, work more consistently, help customers better, and let a small team punch above its weight.
We like working on products, platforms, and internal systems where language, context, brand feel, and decision logic meet. That is exactly where better software can suddenly unlock a lot more, as long as the foundation stays sharp.
What we believe
Small teams can do big work.
Good software does not just increase speed. It increases reach, consistency, and leverage. That is how the same people can suddenly get much more done.
AI earns its place.
AI is great at language and judgement and terrible at arithmetic. We use it where it makes the product better and keep deterministic code in charge everywhere else.
